Nectar Clothing

Dress: Nectar Clothing c/o here; Socks: Forever 21, similar here; Booties: TJ Maxx, similar here

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of attending the fall launch party for Nectar Boutique. It was one of the best blogger events I have been to to date! It was at the cutest little jazz club in Claremont called Hip Kitty, and I had such a good time meeting other bloggers and hanging out. And the owners of the boutique are awesome! I got this cute little dress from them, and I LOVE it! My favorite part in the back of it. So sexy! If you live in the area, pop in to their store in the Orange Circle or also in Redlands. I guarantee you will love everything! Or visit their website too! I'll be sharing this amazing jumpsuit I got with you soon too. Also, if you're wondering how to do this hair, you can find it here on my Pinterest. I find a lot of my inspiration for different styles I do from Pinterest as well as Instagram or mah brain. :P So follow me on Pinterest if you wanna see what I'm scheming to do with my hair!
Do you ever have weeks you're just tired allll week long? That is this week for me. I think it's just been weird adjusting to Ben's new schedule because he gets home super late. Tuesday afternoon we literally laid around the ENTIRE afternoon. And ate ice cream. I'm obsessed with mint chip ice cream smashed between two graham crackers. The best ice cream sandwich. We just watched The Voice basically the whole time. Anyone else love watching the judges interact with each other? Adam and Blake crack me up. I want to be friends with them. Ok, I'm done now. :P

Love you all!

Thanks for reading! You're the reason I do this! Well, and because I love it obvi.

xoxo,
Christine

Good morning, and happy Thursday! I'm sitting in bed with coffee so I'm pretty sure it's gonna be a good day. In the words of teenagers nationwide, I will say about this outfit, "I literally can't even..." :P. I was wanting a trench coat for a while but was still unsure of them until I ended up snagging this one at a sale at H and M. I'm. In. Love. I told my hubby when I was getting ready that I felt like a character Mad Men, and he looked at me like I was a weirdo and said, "You mean like the guys in Mad Men?" (BTW we don't even watch that show; I'm just guessing :P). Yes, duh the guys. Whatever. Anyways, I love this whole combination, and it's perfect for us here in Southern California who have quite a bit longer to wait for cooler temperatures. I will say though, I can't wait to pair it with some distressed denim! Oh, is anyone else loving burgundy for the coming fall season! I know I am!

Sooooo I'm super duper duper duper excited because in a week my hubby and I are going to Salt Lake to see my brother, sister-in-law and their three little girls. I have a four-month-old baby niece that I haven't met yet either! I can't wait! The girls will be so much fun, and we always eat the best food and hang out and my brother and his wife show us all around their favorite places. I'm also hoping to bump into Cara Loren, duh. And why couldn't Amber wait a week to move? Um hellllloooo. :P Those are my two favorite bloggers and the original inspiration behind my starting mine!

Red, White and Pretty Pants

Today I have the first of two Fourth of July themed looks for you! I'm featuring these awesome earrings from Shop Pretty Pants! They have super cute jewelry, including this Cassie necklace which I will be styling in a future shoot! I actually don't tend to wear larger earrings a whole lot, but these are literally PERFECT! When I got them in the mail, it was like they were hand-picked for me! I love them! I pulled my hair back on one side so I could show them off. They would also be the perfect compliment to an updo for a special event or to fancy up a basic ponytail! Do yourself a favor and get them! (Oh, and they're on sale!)
My hubby and I went to dinner last night at Gabbi's Mexican Restuarant to celebrate our one year engagement anniversary because it's where we went to dinner the night we got engaged! If you live in the area, GO. And get the Queso Fundido. #yourewelcome I decided to go for a bit of a festive look for dinner seeing as it's almost my FAVE holiday evaaa. I literally love it all, the barbecues and swimming and fireworks and friends and America. It's everything I love about summer in one day. Stay tuned for my second patriotic post later this week! Happy hump daaaaaaay!

P.S. EXCUSE my hair ties on my wrist. I literally forget about them almost every time I do a shoot, and they're super noticeable in this one! I always keep one on my wrist because when I want my hair up, I want it up now. Ha. Guess it's just gonna be my thang.

Lace Love

Hey everyone! If you didn't see already from Instagram, Ben and I went beach camping over the weekend! It was so fun! I didn't end up pulling off it being a surprise (I was SOOOOOO sad) because I left something open on the computer accidentally when I was leaving for work last Thursday. Boo. But we still had the best time. We hadn't ever been camping together! And camping is already so much fun, but let me tell you, camping with a hubby is like a million times better. We just went to the beach and sat around the fire and snuggled and ate the best fish tacos and went for a walk and read and threw the football. Oh, and it was Ben's 24th birthday too so we obviously celebrated that! The best weekend.
Now onto my outfit! This lace kimono is probably one of my favorite recent purchases. You can put it on with shorts, pants, a dress, or a romper, and it instantly adds to your look. I always love finding the cute, simple dresses at Forever that you can add whatever you want to. This one in particular happened to be the perfect cut, and I just love it! I'm obviously obsessed with this necklace as well!
Hope you all have the best day! Today is our one year engagement anniversary, and we're going back to dinner at the place we went after we got engaged! (Yes, we are AT LEAST going to celebrate that this year :P)

A Little Western Love

Happy Tuesday, ya'll! How was everyone's weekend? Mine was fabulous because my hubby came home, and now all is right in the world! We got to spend some QT together all day Sunday, and it couldn't have been better. And even though we're back at work, at least he's home at night for snuggles!
I got this dress a few months back at Kohl's, of all places! I love the fun faux leather detailing (and it's still available below!). My FAVE part of this though is this amazing necklace. Don't be surprised if you see it in a few posts! I got it at Charlotte Russe a few weeks ago and have been wearing it non stop! It's sold out online, but you might get lucky and find it in store. I also posted a few similar ones below. Have a great day and see you later this week! Thanks for following along!

xoxoxo,
Christine
