NICE. HAIR.

So I'm always on the lookout for a graphic tee that speaks my language. And THIS is definitely it. I'm a hairstylist so I obviously appreciate when anyone has "NICE Hair", and hence I also appreciate this tee. (I had seen a shirt similar to this one on Nasty Gal and also at a local boutique, but when I googled it, this one was so cheap I just ordered it. It probably isn't as nice of a quality as the others but for the price, you can't beat it. If you do order it though, just be prepared for it to take a little while as it comes from China!) I paired it with my oh-so-comfy and that-must-be-why-they-cost-so-much Wild Fox jeans, a flannel around my waist and these cute new sandals from Target. Seriously Target is mah fave.
It's Friday! Do you all have anything fun planned for the weekend?! I hope so. I work a wedding super early Saturday morning, and then we are attending it. But at least I'll be done early and mostly off of work for the weekend! Not sure what else I'll be doing yet but I'm not working a ton so that's just fine with me!

Halter Top and Skater Skirt

Good morning and happy Wednesday! I can't wake up this morning, probably because I'm still waiting for the coffee to brew. :P I'm so excited because I just have one client this morning, and then I'm off to the beach with my bestie to catch up on some rays and good conversation!
I got this fun little halter on clearance a few weeks ago, and I'm loving it! (It's still available below for only $5!!!) It is a different style than most of my shirts so I love that, and I'm always having the hardest time figuring out what to pair this skirt with because it's a soft grey color so I was so excited that this top worked with it!
Hope you all have the best day.
xoxo, Christine

Floral Pants and Crop

Happpppy Memorial Day, Everyone! I hope today you take a minute to think about all of those who have sacrificed and continue to sacrifice their lives and their time for our freedoms. Today I am especially thankful for my husband who serves in the Marine Corps Reserves with the Crash Fire Rescue (and Brett and Mike!) and my brother, Luke, an F-16 Figther Pilot for the Air Force.
This outfit is from one of our nights out in Vegas when we went to dinner and walked around the hotels. I love anything I can pair with a crop top, and these pants are the most comfortable thing ever. Ben says they look like pajamas but I don't really care. :P I also added my leather vest to the outfit for some warmth and interest.

Hope you all have the best day. Tomorrow is back to work for me after over a week off, and I'm actually excited!

xoxoxo, Christine

Dressing Up with a Formal 'Do, Part 2

Happy Friday, Ladies! Today I have part two of my dressing with a formal 'do post. This would obviously be a look you could go for for an extra special event like prom or something. I got this dress last fall from Lulu's for the Marine Corps Ball that I went to with my hubby. Let me tell you, I was soooo excited to go. After all it had been like 10 years since high school prom. I hope we go again this year so I have another reason to get dressed up all fancy. Or else I'll just keep dressing up for you all. ;) I love a statement red dress for special occasions. Just something about it that says classy and elegant but still makes you memorable. I paired it with my FAVORITE statement necklace and a simple with clutch.
My hubby and I were in Vegas all week (ok, so going to Vegas to lay out while your hubby works isn't all it's cracked up to be! I got so bored. :P I needed a friend to talk to or something! Just ask Ben. I was like a little puppy dog when he got home), and now we are headed to San Diego for the weekend to watch the CrossFit Regionals. I love going to CrossFit competitions! Seriously so fun and insipring, and this time we have friends competing! I will also probably be wearing only workout clothes all weekend because it's what you do. No complaints here.
Happy Memorial Weekend! Hope you all do something fun!

Dressing Down with Formal Hair, Part 1

Sooo in honor of it being prom and wedding season, I have a two-part post for you all on rocking your formal hair 'do for a casual occasion and also for your formal event. Today's is the casual look. Last weekend, I had several girls I was doing for prom so I was feeling inspired to try something fun (also, sometimes an updo can actually take me less time than doing my hair :P). So I did a fun little updo on my hair, but still wore my normal casual clothes. I paired my overalls with a basic black crop shirt and a collar necklace and fun sandals to add to the elegant look. This purse came straight from Africa. Pretty cool, right? And it's basically like a Mary Poppin's bag. My friend, Gemma, got it for me when she went there on a missions trip.
Hope everyone is having a great week! Stay tuned for my formal look with this same hair style later this week!
