Lace Duster

 I try to include some of these kind of photos every so often so you know I don't take this modeling business too seriously. :P This ^^^ comes much more naturally to me than all those serious faces.

Happy first day of Fall from ever sunny Southern California! I'm still waiting on that bite in the air to tell me it's fall which also means I'm still wearing my summer clothes! It's good to find a piece that can add a touch of the new season to your outfit but that is still light and wearable in the heat. This lace duster does just that! I love the dimension it adds when wearing it with a shorter piece. Also if you still haven't tried the half top knot you should. Even if you feel a little weird, I promise you it looks good! I used to stare at myself and think it looked weird but then I saw it in photos and realized it doesn't! For this one I pulled my hair into a half pony and then braided it and pinned it into a bun!

If you didn't see already on Instagram, we went camping over the weekend, and it couldn't have been more perfect. We went with two of my best friends (and former roomies) and their men and a few other people! It was so nice to get away in nature and sit around the campfire and be with friends. I have been up to Lake Arrowhead lots of times but never camped there, and it was so much fun. My friend knew of all of these fun spots to go to there with water and rocks to jump off of. So much fun. I should have a fun little post up later this week with some photos from our weekend. 

I'm off for a run and then a massage! Ahhhhh. I can't wait. I haven't had one in so long because I always hate spending the money but my shoulder has been tight and bothering me so my hubby told me I HAVE to go. Ain't gonna say no to that.

Thrifted Kimono

Buenos dias, Bellas! It's a new week! How was everyone's weekend? I hope you all did something fun and got to spend time with the ones you love! My hubby and I both worked Saturday so Sunday we had a fun day and got to hang out and do things like go to Target (Who doesn't love a Target date?!). We also got inspired to change a few things around in our house, and it's amazing what a little rearranging can do for you! Our bedroom literally feels like a new room. We still have some work to do hanging stuff and getting some accent pieces but I'll post photos once it's all done! Oh, and if you follow me on Instagram, you saw that I tried to make macaroons. Epic. Fail. I might try one more time but otherwise I will just buy them or make my bff make them for me. She's good at it.

Sooo this kimono. Amazing right? I found it at the thrift store, and I love. I don't tend to find really awesome pieces at the thrift store that often so I was super excited! I paired it with some white denim and boots for a boho feel. Can't wait to style it for the fall too!

I'm off to do a workout at CrossFit, the final one before our gym's competition this weekend! Eeek! I'm excited. Have any of you ever tried CrossFit? If so, what did you think? I loveee it. I've been doing it for over two years now and can't get enough of it! Happy Tuesday!

California: Home Sweet Home

So today I'm featuring this cutest tank from Royal Bowtique! I've grown up in California my WHOLE life. I've actually only lived two places, my parents and the apartment I'm in now. I love where I live! There's the beach and mountains, and the weather is nearly always perfect. I love that California is the place I call "home". I paired my tank with these cute floral shorts and a kimono. I love a loose graphic tee paired with fun bottoms!

How's everyone's week? Mine has been busy so far! I actually thought yesterday was Thursday. Whoops. I went from not being super busy to everything happening at once! Aka errrrbody wants their hair did. :P Yesterday I met up with Aly of Living In Style OC (@livinginstyleoc; if you live in the area, make sure to follow her! She posts about food, fashion and fun in Orange County!) and another friend, and we will be having a fun girly event coming for you soon so stay tuned for details on that!

The Basics

Sometimes it's good to just stick with the basics like a tee and shorts! I added a blazer and my favorite necklace to dress it up a bit. I wore this outfit last week on a date night with my hubby to The Ranch Enchilada. It's a new Mexican place that opened up next to my work, and basically I'm always up for anything Mexican. I could eat chips and salsa every day for the rest of my life and be happy. So good chips and salsa is a must! And this place has bomb chips and salsa so they're a winner in my book! Hope you all are having a great week! I have a fun shoot coming this week for Pretty Pants Boutique that I teamed up with my photographer friend plus a bonus shoot coming for MY BIRTHDAY on Sunday! Happy Fourth of July!!!! Yay America! Yay barbecues! Yay fireworks! It's the best day ever. I love being in the sunshine and summertime celebrating. I scored this outfit at Marshall's the other day for less than $30 for the top AND shorts! Can you say score?! I love places like Marshall's because they always have fun trendy things for a great deal, and they're sometimes different than what everyone else has. I had been wanting one of these off the shoulder tops so I was so excited when I found this one, and I obviously had to pair it with these shorts for a fun patriotic outfit!

I hope you all have the BEST day with your family and friends! We are going to workout at CrossFit this AM, then home to get ready (I'll obvi be putting on this outfit!), and then off to a fun day with friends! Can't wait!
