Bohemian Max-sody

Happy Thursday! How has everyone's week been? I hope good! Yesterday my hubby worked his first 24 hour shift on the ambulance so I decided I needed to do something to keep myself occupied all day. I went to Home Depot and got several cans of spray paint to distress my kitchen table. I've been wanting a new table for a while because our kitchen table is just sort of blah. So I decided to distress it instead. I literally cannot tell you how happy I am with it! I will probably do a quick post on it with before and after photos soon on the blog for you all! I'm so happy it's Thursday. Tomorrow, my hubby is off, and we FINALLY get to spend more than an hour or two together. He was gone for five days straight and then came home and went right back to work. And so I really miss him and can't wait for some good QT.

Now on to this outfit. Ya'll need to go get this dress or just click that little button up there and order it! It's only $20! And it's the perfect fall maxi dress. Forever 21 is seriously da bomb. And if you're feeling bold, the dress also comes in cream! I thought about getting that one too but I was planning to wear this to a wedding, and I still adhere to the no white to weddings rule. (By the way, the day I was gonna wear this to the wedding was literally 105 degrees. Needless to say, I did not wear it. :P) I paired it with this hat and necklace that are also Forever purchases and these perfect heels. Seriously probably my favorite heels I own. My feet are sensitive, and honestly I can't wear heels for more than a few hours. But THESE, I can literally wear all day. Love them so much.

I hope you all have the best weekend! I'm off to Laguna today to do hair and makeup for a test shoot. Always a good day if you get to work with a view of the beach.

xoxo,
Christine

The Basics

Sometimes it's good to just stick with the basics like a tee and shorts! I added a blazer and my favorite necklace to dress it up a bit. I wore this outfit last week on a date night with my hubby to The Ranch Enchilada. It's a new Mexican place that opened up next to my work, and basically I'm always up for anything Mexican. I could eat chips and salsa every day for the rest of my life and be happy. So good chips and salsa is a must! And this place has bomb chips and salsa so they're a winner in my book! Hope you all are having a great week! I have a fun shoot coming this week for Pretty Pants Boutique that I teamed up with my photographer friend plus a bonus shoot coming for MY BIRTHDAY on Sunday! So stay tuned! Thanks for reading!

Lace Love

Hey everyone! If you didn't see already from Instagram, Ben and I went beach camping over the weekend! It was so fun! I didn't end up pulling off it being a surprise (I was SOOOOOO sad) because I left something open on the computer accidentally when I was leaving for work last Thursday. Boo. But we still had the best time. We hadn't ever been camping together! And camping is already so much fun, but let me tell you, camping with a hubby is like a million times better. We just went to the beach and sat around the fire and snuggled and ate the best fish tacos and went for a walk and read and threw the football. Oh, and it was Ben's 24th birthday too so we obviously celebrated that! The best weekend.
Now onto my outfit! This lace kimono is probably one of my favorite recent purchases. You can put it on with shorts, pants, a dress, or a romper, and it instantly adds to your look. I always love finding the cute, simple dresses at Forever that you can add whatever you want to. This one in particular happened to be the perfect cut, and I just love it! I'm obviously obsessed with this necklace as well!
Hope you all have the best day! Today is our one year engagement anniversary, and we're going back to dinner at the place we went after we got engaged! (Yes, we are AT LEAST going to celebrate that this year :P)

70's Chic

Guyssssss! I'm seriously in love with my outfit in this post!!! I usually like what I'm wearing but I was especially excited about this outfit! I keep seeing pants like these everywhere and have been wanting some but wasn't quite sure about them. I brought them home and put them on, and my mind was instantly changed. I LOVEEE them! I paired them with this cute crop from H and M and my trusty hat from Target (best purchase!) I'm also loving this necklace I just got at H and M as well!
Today is a very good day. My hubby left last Friday for training, and I have been without him ALLL week. And tonight I'm driving to San Diego to see him for a few hours and hopefully get to stay the night for some snuggles! Cannot wait. And then just one more week of this!

Mint Brownie Ice Cream

Happy Monday, Everyone! Hope you all had an amazing weekend! Ours was very eventful! We went to an insane one-year-old birthday party complete with a gourmet burger food truck (aka the most AMAZING heart-attack inducing food you ever put in your mouth!), face painter, bounce house, and the cutest circus cake ever. Then we watched the Kings/Ducks hockey game out with our friends on Saturday night. Sunday we spent with our both of our moms, lunch and the beach! It was crazy windy! And the most exciting part of all, we spent FOUR HOURS looking for my husbands work phone. FOUR HOURS. We even dug through the dumpster. Then at 10pm, my hubby decided to check if there was a way to activate a GPS locator on it. We found it. IN his truck. That we had looked in seven times. Phooey. Fun. Phew.
So the colors of this outfit remind me of the Dryers Mint Brownie ice cream I'm obsessed with right now. Slap that in between some graham crackers. Mmmmmmmmm. Heavenly. Homemade ice cream sandwich. Probably be having one of those later seeing as we have the ice cream in the freezer... Now back to the outfit. If you all wanna be resourceful with your button down tops, unbutton a few of the buttons and tie them up to turn them into a crop! Super cute. Also, these shoes. Literally OBSESSED. So cute and and fun and the most comfortable thing ever. I rarely wear heels because my feet get tired easily but these I can wear forever! The perfect black summer shoe.
Have the best day! Winner of the giveaway and a collaboration coming later this week!
