I'd Hit That

I know, I know. Slightly inappropriate, but oh-so-much fun. I was out shopping with my friends the other day, and I showed them this shirt, and they were like you HAVE to get it; it's so funny! So I did, and here we are. I paired it with my new fave high-waisted denim from Kaitlyn and these Target sandals that I can't stop wearing!
How's everyone's week going? Mine is passing fairly quickly already which is good because I need my hubby to come home like yesterday, and I still have to wait four more days! The rest of the week should go by fast for me though because I work and then am going to Palm Springs to celebrate one of my BFFs 30th birthdays! Can't wait for some sunshine and good times with mah girls!

Hearts and Stripes

Good morning! I just woke up from a great night of sleep, and I'm heating water for coffee so it's a good day.(Be better if the coffee was already in my hand, but then I guess I couldn't type.) Hope you all have been having a good week! I've worked and hung out with friends and got my hurr did and spent time with the hubs so it's been a good week so far. I'm actually not looking forward to the weekend because Ben leaves for two weeks for his annual Marine Reserves training. :( Lame. (#butistillloveamerica)
I just got these shorts the other day at Plato's Closet for $6! If you don't know what that store is, it's kind of like a thrift store but they only sell stuff that is currently in style, and you actually get paid a small percentage for taking your clothes in there. Check to see if there's one in your area because it's super cool! Anyways, I paired them with this black crop top and threw my hair up in a top knot. You can get this top knot look by watching my favorite top knot tutorial here!

Happy Thursday!
xoxo, Christine

Dressing Down with Formal Hair, Part 1

Sooo in honor of it being prom and wedding season, I have a two-part post for you all on rocking your formal hair 'do for a casual occasion and also for your formal event. Today's is the casual look. Last weekend, I had several girls I was doing for prom so I was feeling inspired to try something fun (also, sometimes an updo can actually take me less time than doing my hair :P). So I did a fun little updo on my hair, but still wore my normal casual clothes. I paired my overalls with a basic black crop shirt and a collar necklace and fun sandals to add to the elegant look. This purse came straight from Africa. Pretty cool, right? And it's basically like a Mary Poppin's bag. My friend, Gemma, got it for me when she went there on a missions trip.
Hope everyone is having a great week! Stay tuned for my formal look with this same hair style later this week!

DIY Distressed and Sunflowers

So I've been dying for a good pair of distressed denim, but I'm always looking for good deals AND I just feel like every time I try them on they just don't fit quite right. If I get them so they have that boyfriend fit they don't work because the waist is huge! Sooo I had these jeans on the other night (pre-distressing) and was thinking that they would make the perfect distressed jeans. I decided to check Pinterest for a tutorial, and I found one here. So I decided to do it! They turned out better than I planned! I even did a pair of black jeans and shorts as well. Sunflowers are my FAVE so this tee was the perfect match to my distressed denim. And OHHH, these birks. Um, can you say Target does it AGAIN!!! I couldn't believe when I found them. I've been wanting birks but the price is much higher than I like to spend for shoes. When I snagged these on sale at Target, they were only $23.99! #dealsandthrills
Thank you all for following along!

xoxoxo, Christine
