Simple DIY Bracelets

Hi friends! I thought I would share a little weekend DIY for all of you who are home this weekend and are looking for something fun to do! A little while ago, I was on someone's blog and saw cute bracelets like this and saw that she had made them herself. She even sold them in her Etsy shop, and I actually was thinking of buying one when I realized I could probably just make them myself! So off to Michael's I went to get stretchy string and beads!
^^^This is all you need!

1. Decide what you want your bracelet to say. I put my and Ben's initials. I also want to get numbers and do one with our wedding date!

2. String beads on the stretchy string.

3. Measure the bracelet on your wrist as you go so you know how big to make it.

4. When you are finished tie several knots with the string and pull each one really tight!

And there you have it! Your very own personalized bracelet!

Looking down and seeing mine and my hubbies initials together and knowing it's forever kinda makes me happy. (#oklikesuperduperhappy)

I also made these ones for my old roomies! We lived together in Apt B for FIVE YEARS. And we never broke up! We shared a lot of laughs and tears and late nights watching Friends so I wanted to make something fun for us to remember all the best memories in Apt B. They're actually still two of my best friends, and we are all camping together this weekend with our men (who are also all friends!). People are always so shocked that we actually MADE it living together for so long. I don't know if we were just the perfect mixture of personalities or if it was simply by the grace of God. Probably both. :P Either way, we had the BEST time living together. I love love love being married and living with my hubby but nothing can replace those years we had together. They were truly something special.

Travel More

^^^you mad bro?

^^^because I sometimes like to just be silly

^^^and then laugh at myself

Shirt: Modern Bloom c/o here; Skirt: Windsor Store here; Shoes: Kohl's, similar here Bag: Susie's Deals; similar here; Necklace: Forever 21, similar here

Hi girls! Happy Thursday! I'm super excited about this new top I'm wearing! Mostly because my hubby and I were just talking about how we want to travel more, even if it means something as simple as trying a new place when we go out on a date instead of our same old same old. And I love finding graphic tees that actually reflect me! This one is perfect for fall too because it's a sweater tee! Just the right amount of warmth for So Cal.
You know what's NOT the right amount of warmth? The weather outside this week. 105. Blech. The other night when my hubby were heading out for Taco Tuesday, it was still 95 degrees out at 8pm! So much for fall starting next week. :P
Anywho, you should definitely check out Modern Bloom where I got this shirt! They also have this one that I would love to get my hands on too because that's how my mushy gushy heart feels about that hubby of mine.
Speaking of traveling more, my hubby and I are going camping over the weekend with some friends in Lake Arrowhead! Super excited to get away, maybe have some slightly cooler temperatures, play games, swim, drink coffee in the morning with no where to go and stay up late chatting by a campfire.

Hope all of you lovelies have the best weekend!

Shine Designs and a White Maxi

Dress: Marshall's; similar here and here; Booties: TJ Maxx; almost same here; Purse: Forever 21, similar here; Tattoos: Shine Designs c/o here

Sooo I know that everyone in the fashion world is excited for fall and in just few more days, it will officially be fall but hello I live in Southern California. And it's been 100 degrees basically every day for the past week. So I'm gonna keep wearing white and shorts and birks and such until the weather tells me I should do otherwise. And even after that, sandals are basically acceptable almost year round here. :P
I got this amazing dress at Marshall's on clearance for $10! I need to wear it on a fun date with my hubby soon because let's just say he really liked it, and I may have had to sort through 160 photos on the camera roll. I always know when I picked a good outfit because he snaps WAY too many photos.

Also, did you notice my necklace and anklet tattoos? These things are literally the coolest ever from Shine Designs Tattoos. I can't even tell you how many people stopped me while I was out and had it on for a few days. It literally makes your outfit feel so glam, especially the necklace one! There are also bracelets and rings on the sheet, and you just put them on like the temporary tattoos you wore when you were a kid! I can't wait to wear them at the beach too with my suit! Make sure you check them out!

Bohme Fringe and CrestStacks

Fringe Tank: Bohme Boutique here; Flannel: Hurley, similar here; Denim Vest: Forever 21, similar here; Jeans: Levi's via TJ Maxx, almost exact here; Booties: TJ Maxx, similar here; Bracelets: CrestStacks here

Hey girls! Happy Thursday! How has everyone's week been so far? Mine has been pretty relaxing and not as busy as usual which I actually enjoy! My brother who lives in Utah was here for 24 hours so all the cousins went to dinner with my gram last night, and then we went in the spa at her house. It's been FOREVER since we've done that! It was so fun. Random fact: I like the spa REALLY hot, like 104 or something. My hubby hates it. He won't even get in when it's that hot. :P I'm excited for the weekend! One of my best friends got married in Ireland in June, and I wasn't able to attend the wedding so she and her new hubby are flying out for a reception with everyone out here! It should be really fun!
So onto my outfit! I got this shirt at Bohme Boutique when I was recently in Utah, and I'm obsessed. I can't take credit for my layering because Allyson, the sales girl had this top on and had it styled like this, and she sold me on it! This top is seriously so fun. Spices up your normal basic white shirt with some fringe but you can still wear it with a ton of things! Also, these bracelets I'm wearing! Aren't they amazing?! My friend from work started her own business called CrestStacks, and her arms always look so darn cute stacked with these bracelets that I had to have them! Each set is unique, and you can even special order whatever you want! Go check her out!

Love you all! Thanks for reading!

Mohawk Braided Updo Tutorial

Good morning ladies! Today I have a special tutorial for you all on this look, Don't be freaked out by the looks of it. It's actually only a French braid but just with a few touches to it to make it look a little "Vogue". I was scrolling through Pinterest a few weeks ago, and found a photo of this hairstyle so I decided to do it, and now here is a tutorial for you. I'm still figuring out the best way to do all of these tutorials so please bear with me as I learn! I made my bed for you though, at least. #yourewelcome

How was everyone's weekend?! Mine was crazy. I woke up at 6am Saturday to do hair for a friend's wedding and then we attended the wedding which was SOOO much fun. As we walked out the door to leave, they had an In-N-Out truck with a sign telling us to take some for the road. If you aren't lucky enough to live in one of the states that has In-N-Out, I'm sorry. And come visit. They have the most delicious burgers and fries! I don't normally work Sundays but I did a job doing hair for a dance catalogue photo shoot. It's always super fun but just a busy weekend! So needless to say, I was so excited to have the day off yesterday and luckily Ben did too! We just worked out and then laid around all day. It was perfect.

What other tutorials would you guys like to see? Let me know! And thanks for reading!

Date Night Casual

Tee: Free Loader via Triple Thread Clothing; similar here and here
Denim: H and M (distressed by me); similar here
Shoes: TJ Maxx; similar here
Bag: Susie's Deals; similar here
Necklace: Shop Pretty Pants here

Happy Friday, Ladies! I am a little excited about today because it's my only day I have sort of kind of off this weekend. I'm doing a bride's hair and makeup this morning but then off the rest of the day! I worked 12 hours yesterday. Way too long on my feet. But still had the best day. I seriously love my job so much. Even on long days, I am excited to see my clients and catch up and make them feel beautiful! This weekend I'm doing a wedding and attending it and then also doing hair for a dance catalogue photo shoot. Soooo I am currently living for Monday so I can sleep in and relax! AND see my hubby. He started a new job as an EMT this week and school as well so we have barely seen each other! I miss him. :P
Now on to this outfit. I wore this last week when my hubby and I went on a little date. There's obviously always ice cream involved. Neither of us had been to Cold Stone in forever so we went but then we remembered why we haven't been. It's seriously too sweet for me! We decided we should stick to our chocolate dipped cones from Mickey D's. Anyways, I just wanted to be comfy, and let me tell you this shirt is sooo comfortable! Feels like jammies! I wish I could find the exact shirt online but the Freeloader brand one I linked is probably very similar. I paired it with my H and M jeans I distressed myself and these amazingly perfect New Balance shoes from TJ Maxx. I have had them for years and almost got rid of them a few times but now that they are back in style I'm so glad I didn't! If you would like to try out this hairstyle, I followed a tutorial from blogger Amber Fillerup of Barefoot Blonde. You can find it here. What do you like to wear out on dates? I know it's fun to get all dressed up for you man so he can show you off but sometimes just being cute AND super comfortable is my fave.

Have a great weekend!
