Sooo when I first saw that overalls were coming back, I was a little hesitant. I mean I wore them every day of my 12-year-old life. But seriously, I love it. I've learned that the repeats are gonna come so I should just embrace them. I'm also learning I probably should have saved A LOT of my clothes. Maybe I'll learn this time around. (Although, seeing as it took 15 years for overalls to come back, I can hardly picture my 42-year-old self wearing them. :P) Also, these docs: eeeek! I love. They're not real Docs but I'm ok with that because I snagged them for $12! You shall be seeing these overalls and shoes most definitely in the future. Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I spent mine at my old roomie's bachelorette party! We hiked and laughed and ate and danced and talked about girlie things. It was the perfect weekend, and I'm so excited for the wedding this weekend!

White Denim, Floral and Braids

Happy Friday, Everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful week and are looking forward to the weekend! I am heading out pretty soon on a 20-mile training run for the Boston Marathon (Eeeeeek! No matter how comfortable I am with running, I always get nervous before long runs!). Then tomorrow I have a bachelorette party for my bff and old roomie, GemmaI! (I hope I can walk after that run. And dance!)  I'm excited. I love girly time and celebrating love and happiness.

Now about this outfit. I've always loved the combination of white on white but I thought this top made it a little more fun with a similar neutral color combo. I snagged this fun top from Phillip Lim on the clearance rack at Target. #thumbsup Also, these shades are my new faves! You can't tell super well in the photos but they're almost like a rose gold color and super sparkly!

Braids and a Midi Dress

Saturday, Ben and I went down to Laguna Beach. It was such a beautiful day. We just walked around, looked in shops, people watched (I LOVE seeing all the different types of people out and about), shared a frozen banana and took a few pictures, of course.

My fave thing about this look is my hair! If you follow my Instagram, you saw me post it the other day. I was on Pinterest and was inspired to try out a new style. I was so happy because doing braids like this on yourself is actually a huge challenge so I was excited it worked out! Also, I love any type of midi dress or skirt, and I love the color of the jacket and the extra detailing. Happy hump day! xoxo

Climbing Miss Daisy

 Sooo the other day when we were taking photos, my hubby had this grand idea for me to climb up on a little brick ledge. It was kind of high, and I'm kind of short. But when I tried to tell him no, he just said, "You'll be fine; you do CrossFit." :P I literally had to step on his leg then his hand to get up.  And then to get down I just sat on his shoulders like a five-year-old. I was a little freaked out. But the photos turned out cute...keep scrolling. So I guess it was worth it. And after all this we went to dinner and devoured chips and salsa and yummy Mexican food. I could literally live off of chips and salsa. Mmmm.
As for this cute outfit, it's from Windsor! At least the jumpsuit and kimono are. I have been surprised at how much I love shopping online from there! This jumpsuit is so comfy and a fun different kind of piece to put on. Also love the kimono. It will definitely be a spring and summer staple! Do yourself a favor, and get one!

Coffee Dates and Cleopatra

 Ben and I sometimes have a hard time making time to see each other because our schedules can be opposite. I have to work a lot of weekends as a hairdresser, and his schedule can change from day to day. So I was so excited we got to sneak in a coffee/lunch date on Friday! We both had packed lunches so we just ate and chatted and got coffee afterwards. I love any time we can get together, especially if it means being outside!
Also, I am LOVING the necklace trends right now. All the fun designs remind me of Cleopatra and Ancient Egypt. I loved that part of World History in school! I would love to be able to visit the pyramids and see the Nile River some day! SO happy it's the weekend. More time with the hubs! Yippee!!!
